HSE Policy.

Health, safety and environmental protection are at the heart of everything SATC does — for our delegates, our staff and the communities we work in.

Policy statement

SATC (Institute of Safety & Technical) is committed to protecting the health and safety of everyone affected by our activities, and to preventing harm to the environment. We believe that all accidents and ill health are preventable, and we pursue a target of Zero Accident in every training and consultancy engagement.

We will comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation and other requirements, and will work to continually improve our QHSE management system.

Our commitments

  • Provide safe and healthy conditions in all our training campuses and on every client site we attend.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks and put effective controls in place before work begins.
  • Deliver training that equips delegates to recognise, assess and control workplace risk.
  • Prevent pollution and minimise the environmental impact of our operations.
  • Consult with staff, delegates and partners on matters affecting their health and safety.
  • Investigate incidents, learn from them, and act to prevent recurrence.
  • Review this policy regularly and whenever there is a significant change.

Every member of the SATC team shares responsibility for upholding this policy. Visitors, delegates and contractors are expected to co-operate with our health, safety and environmental arrangements.
