Equality & Diversity Policy.

SATC is committed to treating every delegate, member of staff and partner fairly — and to providing an inclusive learning environment free from discrimination.

Policy statement

SATC (Institute of Safety & Technical) values diversity and is committed to promoting equality of opportunity in all of its training and consultancy activities. We aim to ensure that no learner, employee or applicant receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Our commitments

  • Provide equal access to our courses and qualifications for all eligible delegates.
  • Make reasonable adjustments so that delegates with disabilities or additional needs can participate fully.
  • Create a respectful, inclusive learning environment, free from harassment, bullying and discrimination.
  • Recruit, train and promote staff on the basis of merit and ability alone.
  • Treat any complaint of discrimination seriously, and deal with it promptly and confidentially.
  • Review this policy regularly to ensure it remains effective and compliant.

All staff, trainers and delegates are expected to support this policy and to help create an environment in which everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
